Beginners I:
This class is designed with the very beginner in mind. The class covers reading yarn
labels, different weight of yarns and discussions of yarn fibers. We also cover casting on,
knit stitch, purl stitch, seed stitch, rib stitching, and casting off. We also teach how to
determine gauge and repairing mistakes.
This class is a must for those with no knitting experience.
Class is $60 for 6 hours of class time.
Beginners II:
As a continuation of Beginners I, we cover cable stitching, increasing and decreasing in a
pattern. We also teach how to read a pattern. This class also goes into 2 color work and
basic finishing techniques.
Class is $60 for 6 hours of class time.
Beginner Sock :
This class is an introduction to the wonderful world of sock knitting. The class is designed
to teach knitting in a round using 4 double pointed needles. Techniques of turned heel and
Kitchener stitch are incorporated in the pattern. Each student will be working on the same
pattern.
Prerequisites: Must be able to cast on, knit, purl and cast off.
Class is $60 for 6 hours of class time.
Spring Sweater:
This month we are offering a Spring Sweater Class where you will be able to learn basic
sweater making techniques to make a sweater suitable for the upcoming warm months.
Students are able to choose their pattern of choice. Let us help you move beyond hats and
scarfs.
Prerequisites: MUST be able to knit and purl, cast on and cast off.
Class is $60 for 6 hrs of class time.
Project of Choice:
By popular demand we are having project of choice classes. You can choose your own
project and have an instructor available to assist you during the process. Currently we have
students making bags, sweaters, baby blankets etc.... In the classes. This is our most
popular class so please sign up early Maximum is 10 students
Prerequisites: Must be able to knit, purl, cast on and cast off.
Class is $ 60 for 6 hrs of class time.
Project of Choice - Crochet:
Similar to our Project of choice class on Wednesday Nights, this project allows students to
work on any crochet pattern of their choice. You can choose your own pattern and have an
instructor available to assist you during the process.
Prerequisites: Must have basic beginner knowledge of basic crochet skills.
Class is $60 for 6 hours of class time.
Beginner Crochet:
This class is for the very beginner in mind. This class covers reading yarn labels and
choosing the right materials for your projects. All basic stitches will be covered and a
simple project will be completed.
Class is $60 for 6 hours of Class time.
Lace Ribbon Scarf:
A beautiful lace scarf from the popular knitting website Knitty.com. This class will teach
basic lace knitting techniques, using fingering weight yarn, to create this beautiful scarf in
luxurious alpaca yarn.
Prerequisites: Must be able to Knit, Purl, Cast on, and Cast off.
Class is $60 for 6 hours of class time.
Finishing Class:
We all have pieces of unfinished projects in our closets. Come on, We know you do. This
class is for you! Let us help you take those unfinished sweaters, garments and Afghans
out of the closet and let us teach you how to finish them professionally.
Prerequisites: Need unfinished garments.
Class is $60 for 6 hours of class time.
Clinic:
Once a week, during clinic hours, an instructor is available to help patrons with any knitting
problems they might have. This is a perfect time to get help on a certain technique that you
might be having trouble with or not know how to do, or to get help fixing any major mistakes
you might have. The clinic does not meet on a weekly basis, as classes do; patrons are
able to drop in whenever the need arises. You can drop in any time during the 4:30-6pm
time slot. Please note: Beginning June 1st, please call the shop at least 24 hours in
advance of the clinic you are planning to attend in order to ensure an instructor is
available.
Cost of clinic is $10 for 1/2 an hour.

During the summer months of July and August, we will not be offering our normal full
schedule of classes. We will only be offering the Knitting Project of Choice classes on
Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30 or Thursday nights from 6:30-8:30. Each class is limited
to 7 students, so please sign up and pay as early as possible to reserve your spot. Our full
schedule of classes will resume in September.
